​Having the right hair colour for your skin tone makes all the difference on how you look so of course having the wrong tone or shade can make you look washed out and always having to book in for a spray tan or just applying a full face of make up to look fresh.

So how do you know what will suit you?

First step is are you a cool or warm tone person. An easy step is look at your jewellery do you tend to wear silver or gold, yes you guessed it silver cool and gold warm. Can you wear both this means you could probably get away with both ends of the spectrum.

​Look at the veins in your wrists do you have greenish colour veins or do you see blue purple tones. If you see green then you have warm undertone, or blue purple you have cooler undertones.

Also you can also look at your eye colour the more hazel or golden your eyes the more warmer tones suit you or the blue grey eyes the cooler tones suit you best if you have a mixture you would be classed as neutral.

So we have determined your skin tone so let us talk colour. When looking at changing the colour of your hair try and go 2 shades lighter or darker than your natural base as this will give you the most complementary look and stick to the right tones for you.

Fancy going extreme like Platinum Blonde or Black, these colours suit a more neutral skin tones.

Crazy colours have a wide range, so fancy going a little wild stick to cooler tones like electric blue,  greens or purples or if you're a warm type of person then Reds, Oranges and Yellows are for you.

So have cool tones and want to go RED? Yes this is so possible as there are loads of different colour reds on the spectrum from bluey reds or more orange reds which are better for those warm skin tones.
